The Tamil Youth Organisation (NE) joined forces with the Woodland Trust, the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity on Sunday 16th November, to plant trees at Hainault Forest Country Park.
Tree for All was also an opportunity for TYO members to remember all the lives lost in Tamil Eelam and were able to plant over a hundred trees in their memory.
Our natural world is under siege. Woods are under threat from climate change, modern development and often, from sheer indifference.
TYO believes that they need to inspire other youth and children to become the future guardians of their natural environment. Tree for All is an urgent call to take action.
TYO will work collaboratively with Tamil Schools in the North East Region of London which will enable children to take part.
