TYO UK spoke to BBC regards the Sri Lankan Police Force’s complicity in the ongoing Tamil Genocide. Scotland have stated that they will no longer train the Sri Lankan forces.
TYO’s statement:
It’s a step in the right direction with a long journey to go for any accountability and justice to be brought for the Tamil nation which continues to suffer from the genocide perpetrated by the Sri Lankan state.
The international community must push to end partnerships with Sri Lanka whose institutions continue to perpetuate genocide against the Tamils. There have been alot of empty statements and stances expressed, however actions speak louder than words.
